I have over 15 years of experience and founded GOALS Martial Arts in 2008, dedicated to helping all youth, especially elementary and middle school youth to develop habits that could make a positive impact in their futures. While many martial arts instructors go by Sensei and so on, I prefer a more friendly, "Mr. Bob" which also underscores my commitment to giving more than martial arts, but skills to last a lifetime.
Growing up, my mom made custom chocolate orders for friends and family, dreaming of turning it into a full-time business. In 2006, she was diagnosed with lung cancer and sadly passed away in 2007. During that time, she shared her dreams and favorite color, purple, with me. Inspired by her, I opened GOALS Martial Arts, incorporating purple and silver/gray (for lung cancer awareness) into our logo as a tribute.
My book, "Bullying Doesn't Discriminate," draws from my childhood and the children I’ve mentored.
In memory of my late son Emmett, who passed away at just six months old, my wife Tara and I established a nonprofit scholarship fund to help families afford karate lessons.
My work continues to inspire and uplift our community, driven by the legacies of my loved ones in honor of your loved ones.
